Sean Markey, MD
Dr. Markey has served as the director of both Littleton Adventist Hospital and Parker Adventist Hospitals. He also serves as faculty for a number of medical device companies, which includes ongoing work in the development of new spinal surgery techniques. He has been listed in “5280: Denver’s Mile-High Magazine” as one of the city’s top doctors for his work with brain and spine disorders.
Dr. Markey’s areas of interest include the treatment of complex disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, minimally invasive surgery, artificial disk surgery, neuro-oncology, radiosurgery including Gamma knife, neurovascular diseases, neuro-trauma surgery and critical care. He is an active member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Colorado Neurosurgical Society, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the Western Neurological Society.
Taryn Snyder, PA-C, MMS
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Taryn Snyder, PA-C, MMS started her career spending over 15 years building her solo personal training and massage company, as well as teaching aerobics, personal training, and managing large commercial and corporate health clubs.
She has received both her Bachelors and Masters of Medical Science degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. She also currently holds ACE, AFAA and AAAI personal training and coaching certifications, as well as previous ASCP certified phlebotomist.
Her passion lies in helping others live full, active lives by eating well, exercising regularly and ensuring proper access to proper health care. Taryn has called Denver home for the past 2 decades, raising her 3 children here. As a busy mom on-the-go, she enjoys cycling, running, snowboarding and hiking with her family. A former competitive athlete, Taryn has also participated in numerous marathons and triathlons. After spending 5 years as an orthopedic/ trauma PA at Swedish Hospital, and 3 years in minimally-invasive lumbar spine surgery, we now welcome her to the Neurosurgical & Spine Specialists family.
